During springtime, a district commonly known as "Sakura Town" is spotted by blooming cherry blossom trees, filling the streets with soft pink colors. Residents and visitors are strolling through the town, enjoying the seasonal scenery, visiting local cafés, and exploring small shops. The gentle fall of blossom petals adds to the peaceful atmosphere, while the quiet streets invite people to slow down and enjoy the moment. With its charming buildings and beautiful blossoms, Sakura Town offers a relaxing escape and captures the spirit of japanese spring at its finest.
In Stacked: Japan I draw imaginary cityscapes that contrast traditional japanese architecture, futuristic buildings and technology that create a detailed micro-world with different areas to explore on your own.
I started this art series in late 2025 inspired by the contrast of traditional and modern japanese architecture that I could experience on a trip to Japan earlier this year.
